“Architecture appears for the first time when the sunlight hits a wall.
The sunlight did not know what it was before it hit a wall.”
Louis Kahn

The element of LIGHT itself was Kahn’s obsession. It is the protagonist of his buildings, dancing across the walls he built, changing continuously throughout the course of the day. Unlike other architects, he knew it is fundamental to honor the material you use: his palette ranges from textured brick and bare concrete with astonishing facility, creating spaces highly functional which always display powerful universal symbolism.
