The eye with which photographers interpret the metropolitan areas is one of the issues that most fascinates me in photography, and it’s why I’m crazy about the work of Michael Wolf.
The German photographer became famous with urban landscapes using Google Street View, the instrument with which he managed to express the concept of urban density and building expansion without end. In the project “Architecture of Density” the city of Hong Kong is represented by tall buildings that form abstract compositions of colors and the windows of skyscrapers become pixel pattern repeated endlessly.
The visual impact is certainly very strong and exciting at the same time!
